We wanted to have our community and early supporters benefit in a new way from the improvements and growth of our service, and incentivise ourselves to make it better and cheaper, not more expensive and extractive.
As you may know this goal runs deep for our company. Because of it we've built Memex as a Steward Owned business that can't be sold and that caps investor returns to avoid profit maximisation incentives.
